Restoration services in Oakland

Four job types, four pages. Water extraction and drying is not on this list because it lives on the home page, where the whole water cluster belongs.

How this list is split

Restoration is one trade with four fairly different jobs inside it, and the split below follows what actually changes on site rather than what makes a tidy menu. What separates them is the material the water or the fire got into, and what that forces you to remove.

Clean water from a pipe is mostly a drying problem, and it lives on the water damage restoration page along with extraction, flood and storm work. Contaminated water changes the rules, so sewage has its own page. Growth after the fact is a containment job rather than a drying one. Fire brings smoke into rooms that never burned. And a wet ceiling is the one case where the visible damage and the source are in different places.

If you are not sure which one yours is, that is normal and it does not matter much. Send the details and describe what you can see.

The four job types

Two pages that are not services

This site also carries two reference pages, and neither of them is something we sell. The first explains the East Bay private sewer lateral ordinance, which is why a failed lateral becomes an owner's problem here rather than the City's. The second walks through how a California water damage claim is framed, including the sudden-against-gradual distinction most denials turn on.

Both exist because the questions come up on nearly every job and nobody in this market has written them down properly. Published cost ranges are collected separately.

Not sure which one applies?

Describe what you can see and let the contractor sort out which job it is. That is a normal way to start and it costs nothing.
